Rules and Regulations
Task Description
The objective is to build a mine rescue system to retrieve workers trapped in a mine, through a long, narrow borehole. The latest version of the Description, Rules and Procedures document is authorative and stipulates the rules of the challenge, permitted materials and specific prohibitions.
Lab rules
- Wear closed-toe footwear at all times
- Complete the lab induction before starting work
- Keep the lab clean
- Respect the provided tools
- Do not eat or sleep in the lab
- Space is at a premium - please be considerate of those around you
Occupational Health and Safety
You must complete the project risk assessment online. When working with the testing arena, please observe the following rules:- You must wear rubber-soled, closed-toe footwear in the lab and when working at the ELCX patio
- Do not attempt to move the mineshaft tube or mine boxes
- Do not sit/stand on the mine boxes or lean on the mineshaft tube
- Do not antagonise creepers
- Do not eat the tiny trees
